Hola from Granada!
Our third day in Granada we all dressed up in our new Moroccan-style pants and headed off to an olive oil tasting, where we also had an amazing time learning about the process of making olive oil. We saw olive groves, an ancient mill, and finished by tasting the region’s olive oil like professionals! Some of us even bought some to bring home!
After exploring Granada more in the afternoon we all received our first introduction to Spanish flamenco. After watching the passionate dancers we were sufficiently intimidated for our own flamenco lesson the next day. Despite our fears and the heat, we (somewhat) successfully learned and performed a complete flamenco dance in the style of Spanish tango. After flamenco we needed some R&R in Granada’s famous Arabian baths. After two hours of hot and cold baths (and even massages) we left refreshed and ready for the next phase of our trip!
See you all very soon!
